Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
The country's power facilities have come under increased attacks in the past few days

During the night, Russian aerial assaults have led to power cuts in extensive areas of the capital city, Kyiv.

Several individuals were wounded while local people in eastern districts were left without electricity and encountered interruptions to water supplies, according to local authorities.

Meanwhile, a seven-year-old child was killed in a distinct aerial attack in the southeastern region in the southeastern part, as reported by area administrators.

Russian forces has escalated assaults on power infrastructure over the past few days, while Ukrainian leadership has demanded "real steps" from allies to exert influence on Moscow.

"What is required is not symbolic gestures but strong steps - from the America, Europe and the Group of Seven - in supplying protection systems and enforcing restrictions," mentioned in a public message.

Authorities reported that 450 drones and over thirty rockets targeted energy facilities, characterizing such assaults as "premeditated" and against "critical infrastructure" as winter approaches.

Government representatives said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and technical staff were laboring to fix the damage.

A barrage of missiles struck electrical systems and residential structures in the capital.

Several of the people hurt in the strikes on the capital have been taken to hospital, according to local officials.

Government officials told the media that Russia was intentionally trying to damage the country's energy grid, with assaults already impacting gas facilities.

Authorities confirmed technical personnel and authorities were preparing for further attacks.
